You taught me all i know, that magic 6662 combo has seen many a cake flourish in my kitchen. On the note of good cakes though Eddie used to make this amazing quadruple chocolate cake for the coffee shop – think it was a nigella recipe. Would always sell out in half a day. Joyce has got to be the ultimate guru of the classic vicky sponge.

my current baking guru is Dan Lepard. awesome recipes folks. He has a column in the weekend guardian and I recommend his website http://www.danlepard.com/forum/
which has lots of recipes and is fun. If you like that sort of thing.
